Trying To Save? Don't Drop Car Insurance

By Chimezirim Odimba

When it might seem like you can't, shell out the money for your auto insurance. Sometimes it appears that it might not be a bad decision. How bad can it be to stop paying for car insurance?

Not only is it bad but it is negligent. You may think that you are saving money but you are putting yourself at great risk. Driving without insurance results in irrevocable damage.

The costs could follow you both now and in the future. Some are fortunate enough to avoid immediate encounters with the police. Perhaps you'll even steer clear of any fender benders. This doesn't mean a thing since it only takes one wrong move.

At best, you will make it until it is time to renew your license tags. The problems may begin when you go to buy your renewal tags for your car and don't have insurance. Auto insurance companies do want to know who you are currently insured with and they verify it.

They will know that you aren't being honest if you attempt to lie. When you tell them you don't have any, then you are in for some real fun!

There are groups for uninsured drivers that you will be added to. These pools separate you from others and cover you with an inflated charge. For at least six months you will have to pay fees that are astounding.

You will wish you would have just paid it when you had the chance. Troubles will only escalate if you are involved in a collision. The costs of medical, repairs, and more will be your responsibility.

You must pay for anyone that was concerned. Simply being stopped by the police will be trouble enough. The first thing they want to see if proof of insurance.

Without this proof you will be facing possible serious penalties. Hefty tickets will just top the list. You could even get your driver's license suspended and possibly go to jail.

Some states make use of a point system which puts additional points on your record. This will initiate a rise in insurance rates which you will likely be getting soon!

Those that do not have car insurance more often than not are short of financial responsibility. So while you think that you can't afford car insurance. Remember that the costs associated with NOT having it are a lot bigger.
